"These two words, nerd and geek, are frequently used interchangeably. However, this does a great disservice to all nerds and geeks who wear the badge of their respective anti-social lifestyle choice with pride. For this reason I feel that it is of the utmost importance that we correctly define the two terms.
Geek

A geek can best be defined as one who maintains an excessive fascination with a single thing or collection of things. I use the more general term thing only because there is a wide range of fascinations available which may qualified as geeky. Some have asserted that the object of obsession must be one that is not considered to be socially acceptable or commonly observed from the majority of inhabitants of any give society."

I was on Total Request Live at one time...

Nah, wasn't on stage like some of my counterparts.  I definitely didn't have the clout to be on it at this time.  I remember this day because I was just wandering around NYC looking for something to eat because I was definitely slummin' on funds. I saw the line by the MTV building and figured, I'll go there and see whats up.  I like to collect an assortment of eccentric looking hoodies, and the one I had on in particular was white with a lot of funky designs on it.  The MTV people said I couldn't wear it because of the lights and the cameras, so I was freezing in that air-conditioned studio in a short sleeve t-shirt for 2 hours watching Mariah Carey and Ashanti doing interviews.  You couldn't even go to the bathroom during that thing! I don't know how these kids do it. I would've been the odd one walking across the cameras with the "I'm about to burst" face.  Luckily, some crazed fan of MC managed to snag the video of the show and put it on Youtube.  Some of my friends hit me up hours later to tell me they saw me and was dying laughing at the randomness (I do kind of stand out in this crowd, don't I?).
